Mrs. Twist, a teacher in our successful public schools, reported the latest scare. According to "official" mail, young women are getting drunk without drinking. To foil breathalyzers, they are soaking tampons in Jack Daniels. The alcohol is absorbed faster as another benefit.

Reaction to this email was skeptical. Fellow educator Denise suggested that this was nonesense, "no girl would use a JD saturated tampon because it would burn."

Isn't there lyrics in a New Order song mentionning "GETTING DRUNK ON YOUR JUICES" ?

Nevermind, that.

The same thing was tried by some frat boys at my alma mater (USC "Go Gamecocks") with suppositories soaked in Jim Beam.....with disasterous results :p

They should just follow Motley Crue's example and inject the JD right into their veins. They'll have tracks, but they'll pass a breath test!

There's something in an Irvine Welsh about a jakey mainlining whisky and exploding a few seconds later. Drinking it is the best bit, I'd have thought !

I wonder if that's not an urban myth? Doesn't the alcohol on your breath result from your body processing alcohol, rather than from having swallowed alcohol?

Doesn't matter how you injest it they can always do a blood test on you.
