The band I have been raving on about for months have finally made it big. Keane have entered the singles chart at number 3 with 'somewhere only we know' :D

I'm so glad i saw them do gigs to less than 10 people, won't be doing that anymore :)

Go and buy the single, cos the b-side is even better than the title track (kind of like 1963!:D)

I thought Keane had a right royal rant about young people not pulling their weight this week?

Why are they still buying his records?! :eek3:

Just shows you can sell five copies to get a chart position these days.

Aren't Keane signed to Island? If they are, they should be careful. Island have just screwed over The Rain Band, a really promising lot from Manchester, by dropping them after one album and an EP. Because of that, the band have gone on a break and might well never come back. I wouldn't be surprised if the same thing happens again.

This song has had me tied up in knots since Monday, when I first heard it on Radio 2. 2 copies were purchased. Don't ask me why. I panicked from the shock of hearing a masterpiece! Fantastic. Snowed Under is nearly as good. Album out in May - bloody long time! This is defo best song in the last 10 years by anyone. (Apart from Interpol maybe).

Don't laugh but there was a feature on this on local news (in bristol) & there were at least 7 people at a signing session in a local shop for it.

I know, must be all the brill cream they used in the 60's! Wax & shine, or as the Cocteau's would have it; Wax & Wane.

Did they now? I didn't know that. Why are major labels so evil? Looks like Keane had better get off this particular Island ASAP.

They also fucked off Julian Cope and The Wedding Present. But they have nutured and cherished PJ Harvey, so they're not all bad.
