Their North American tour is a bit of a joke, isn't it? They do, like, thirty gigs in Europe, ten in Japan, then only pop over to Canada and the US for maybe a whole WEEK (I think it's five gigs?) then they're back in Europe again doing another twenty-odd gigs?! I think they're even doing more gigs in Russia than the entire North American sub-continent?!

Perhaps they'll be back there later in the year?!

Or maybe they just don't like North Americans?! :skeptic:

Kraftwerk are playing at a very nice old theatre downtown, The Paramount. It's posh inside with the second best acoustics in town (next to the microsoft funded Opera Hall type thing).

Why would they like Americans Al? We think we own the world, we're ignorant, we praise democracy but our "Leader" had 500,000 less votes than the loser and we think the Cure and Depeche Mode are the same as New Order...seriously though, i hate this fucking country as much as the next guy (except Michael McDermott but he's not even human in my book)...if you can find a way for me to be employed in the UK, i'll be crashing on your couch as soon as i get the word. Never liked it here and never will.

HOWEVER....

Kraftwerk are actually playing Seattle so i've got to go..and yes, it seems like the US tour is only a handful of cities so i consider myself lucky. I bought extra tix if someone wants to fly over and enjoy the show with me and the better half!

Nothing in the post yet for Brixton; anyone know what's going on?

Heard from Ticketweb last week that the tickets had been sent out...however heard from them today that the tickets for the 8pm show haven't been sent out yet but will be tomorrow (i.e. they were telling porkies last week). I suppose you've got to give them chance after all they've only had our money since last November.

Did you spend hours and £££ on the helpline? Girl friend living in Greece booked the tix -they are supposed to be delivered to me so hopefully by the end of this week

Nope...but my other half did! They claim that the tickets should be received within 72 hours and if not then to call their 'help' line again...oh joy!

Indeed, I've got 11 tickets pending for the 8pm show ... and still nothing. However, a work colleague returned from holiday yesterday to find his tickets waiting for him so godknows what they're doing.

Karl Bartos has just announced he's playing London - Islington Academy, Sunday 16th May.

Still no sign of mine, unless they're there went I get home tonight? Did they require a signature - else I'll just have to get 'em Saturday from the postal depot.

You meeting us for a pre-match beer, Philip? There's a lot of us going from these parts. Should be a good 'un.

They were just sent normal mail - can't see how that justifies the huge postal charges... Pre-match beer sounds good...are you all meeting up before the RFH gig too? I've got tickets for that one as well...

Yes, indeed. Doing that one as well. Used to work on the South Bank but there's not many decent bars to drink in close to the venue, is there? Might be an idea just to meet at the bar in there - as long as there's no jazz quartets warbling away in the vicinity.

I'm sure me and True Blue could be persuaded along to a pre-RFH sesh. At the venue sounds as good as any.

The fact they're playing in Toronto and Montreal is ok with me obviously, but I'm very surprised myself that they won't even go to NEW YORK where they could cash-in to their famous heritage. They could do shows like Letterman to get a lot of visibility.

They also skip major cities like Los Angeles, Chicago, Boston, Atlanta, Washington, Philadelphia, Miami, Dallas, etc.

So in that respect, I find myself very lucky that they come to my home city, which is smaller than all those mentionned above.

But they are doing LA this year; they are playing at Coachella (it's in Indio which is close enough to LA), but I don't have the cash to go to either day of the festival
