ok, so we discussed about what turns a great day into a shite day. now what is it that turns it into a great day? a perfect temperature? a blue sky? birds singing? a beer? :brow:

i know many will mention listening to their favourite NO tracks when waking up ;)

i´ll say when my GF wakes me up with kisses. :love2:

hey, i´m a sentimental guy!

Great days are almost always Saturdays and Sundays. I hate my job.

silly and childish question.... why don´t you quit it then and find another job that you like more?

(btw, you have the right to knock me in the head for asking) ;)

i mean, i don´t want to get philosophical here, but life is too short to do what you don´t want to do almost all of the time. i know kissing butts it´s an usual proceeding in the world we´re living in. but still..... (thinking out loud here, i´ll stop now!) :p

Did'nt answer your last poll/question cos to be honest I dont have shite days,to tell the truth I've never felt so chilled . A great day however ? Well I dont like plans and arrangements to be too constricting, so a day that takes a few turns for the unexpected, a day that involves a few like minded souls or a mate turnin up out of the blue, that for me is in the runnin for a great day. Nice to read at least one good article, hear one nice tune and have a decent conversation in the course of the day, and that always happens.

Job security, basically. I work for the government, the job is guaranteed unless I stop turning up or kill someone, there is no fixed-duration contract. It is mine until I retire, the pay goes up every year, the pension is good. My field of work would pay more in the private sector, sure, but there is no guarantee that there will always be regular work for me. I'm never going to make a living out of playing music, so that will have to remain a hobby. This job pays me very well for not having to do very much, so I can't complain too much. It is very boring and doesn't make me use my brain though.

HEY CHUCK..you are doing the right thing.Once you have short term contracts in any job it is bloody hard to plan for the next day.Although i don't have any stress in my present job due to the fact i am always getting laid-off means i never know when i am getting my next money. Cheers ROCKET MICK

I don't think I've had a great day in a while. I lost my ATM card and I'm hoping none of my checks bounce. But, maybe a great day is when all my afternoon classes get canceled, I get my homework done early, and I come on here.

Anytime we get an over-60 degrees day here in the middle of winter, with the sun shining and all. Almost as good as summer. :shine:  :thumb:

I think what makes a good day can be subjective, and plus while you might be having a good day someone could be having it much worse. But I agree with the consensus that any day off work is a good one no matter what :thumb:

A good day is one in which I don't have to do HW and I can watch senseless amounts of TV

Seeing a big smile in my boyfriend´s face when I wake him up with lot of kisses makes my day :love2: But also going to work doing what I love to do is a great feeling! (although it still don´t pay my rent :()

Tickets to football games or a show I've wanted to see for a long time.......

When a certain knuckle-dragging neandrathal stops interfering in a certain ladies life............:nonono:

Going out for an unexpected dinner treat at a great place..

Some new tunes that have been sent my way, or bought by me, by any of my all time fave bands..........

All-time fave episodes of either Seinfeld or The Simpsons whilst eating dinner (seriously, like when Kramer and Newman decide to haul a bunch of bottles to Michigan from New York cause they'll get more money there, or when Homer becomes the Beer Baron, make me laugh so much I'm nearly in tears, though I've seen them lots of times). :)
