it's a leap year!

is anyone else excited that it's a leap year? this means good things for paying my bills and just for leap-yearing in general....

Isnt that the day when the most weddings are planned for?

I can see how getting married on a leap year would have its obvious advantages....

A leap year mostly annoys, rather than excites, me. I was born close to a leap year, and I've gotten a slew of jokes from people asking, "so, if your mother had you two days earlier, you'd be approaching 5 by now." Or something lame like that.

I don't know if it's of any interest but I did some research and found out that this superstition goes back even before the first ancient greek tribes inhabitted the area (around 1400BC) and was passed on to them by the women ruled societies and their Mother-Earth/Mother-Moon worshiping culture. The extra day of what we call a leap year today, used to be the day on which the man who was married to their high-priestess was killed (ceremonial slaughtering, hear that guys? ).Then his successor got the chick... erm... actually the chick got his successor

Well, no-one's asked to marry me so far today. Phew. Safe for another year I hope.

There's just something so romantic about going on TV to find your soulmate while all of America watches. Nothing compares to the thrill of having to choose your future wife from a bevy of 25 gorgeous women who really do love you for who you are, not how much money you have. True love conquers all, especially on reality shows

monday tuesday whats the difference? i wish it could be on a friday or saturday every year. i had a midterm today and another on wednesday so bday this year sucks in general. it's your bday tomorrow too, doing anything fun and exciting?

Well, since I just got another ATM card, I'm planning to go out to a restaurant, instead of eating in the cafeteria, and then taking a trip to a used music store to see what albums I can find. I also have a mid-term on Wednesday, but I'll study later - I aced a midterm at the end of freshmen year after a night of clubbing, so I think I'll do alright. And, what are you planning to do tomorrow?

nice have fun :) i have class at 12pm, coming home for lunch and then going to my girlfriends house to get my presents and going out to eat, then im going to study for my midterm for a bit, and my mom wants to have cake and stuff around 9pm and then study more and then going to bed. thats about it i guess.
