I have no idea how I came across this, but there is an 'original' song by Al called Germs. The song totally rips off NIN's Terrible Lie. I'm not sure how many of you would actually like NIN, but can he do that?

I think he did something similiar with a devo sounding song

Weird Al does parodies so he can rip any song he wants without worrying about being sued about it (As long as the parody isn't offensive yadda yadda yadda).

He does have to pay mechanical rights if he uses more than five seconds out of the song original riffs.

I think Al has to ask for permission before he can make fun of the song. I know he had asked eminem if he could do it for one of his songs and he said sure.
