I would buy the new Anfield and incorporate a house in it with an executive box overlooking the halfway line, adjoining it. That and a couple of fighter planes.
I'd buy my own island in the Caribbean and create my own country so that I could escape paying ridiculous taxes in other countries.

You hit the nail right on the head, that would be ridiculous. And a complete waste of money!![]()

I'd buy some quality sex, New Order to play at my birthday party, and....no wait, I always told myself if I had tons of money I'd just finance and produce my favorite directors (especially the ones who don't get funding very easily), like David Lynch, David Cronenberg, and a slew of other ones. I'd also use the money to hire a professional crew, buy the film rights to Debbie Curtis's book from that defunct company, and make the coolest Joy Division pesudo-documentary ever!

The Passion of the Ian, perhaps? :D
The right to make people like Paltry McCartney and Mucky Jackson donate everything over their first million to the billions of very poor people in this world. Money well spent .. whatever it costs it won't go into their pockets for long ![]()
a left back, right back, inventive midfield maestro, a midfield enforcer and a manager (after building a mono-rail between finchley & paddington)

Could you afford her "brother" as well (the one she made out with at the Oscars a few years back, in case anyone forgot)? :p
Factory Records. Sign Gabrielles Wish, get hours of heavy rotation on MTV and make them score a fookin number 1 in the charts. Re-sign New Order of course. And just all the family: Tony Wilson, Andy Robinson, Durutti Column, ACR etc.
There's a billionaire here, he just made his own label and signs whoever he wants even if many bands are not commercial at all (though some are really good) and are a total money waste (he also spends money to promote them, TV and all) but he doesn't care. I'd just like to be like him with Factory.
I meant number 1 for Gabrielles Wish, who have "enjoyed" cult status for 10 years and would finally deserve some recognition... BTW I think is better New Order go on having success, if they end like some of their contemporaries like Echo And The Bunnymen, OMD, Soft Cell etc. it would be just frustrating. I was really happy when they had that triumph at Reading 1998. You can have cult status only at the beginning of your career, once you reach success you don't have to be number one all the time, but neither regressing to small band status... Just forgot: I'd also resurrect my band and have our album produced by Chris Nagle and artwork by Peter Saville.

Can I come and live in your new country? I hate taxes too.
If I had ridiculous amounts of money, I'd buy all the cheesy clubs in Northern Ireland (which, sadly, is most of them), close them down and turn them into good ones.

Would you make the drinks cheaper?

I certainly would, yes. Nothing above £2.
