Imagine the look on my face when Deek presented me with a surprise trip to London :jawdrop: .

We'll be flying tomorrow morning and I'll spend my 40th on Thursday in the Big Smoke! He managed to arrange time off work for me, found somebody mad enough to take our kids for three days and I didn't have a clue ... better go and do some packing.

before I forget:

Shug, enjoy yourself in Barcelona and good luck :)

Rocket Mick, you have a good birthday as well

Al, that would've been great, unfortunately I'm back home already :(

Had a great time, done a bit of NO shopping in Camden. Loads of stuff available: three different boxed cassettes, retro 5 disc set, some cracking 12" both JD and NO... only bought a few because I have most of them already, but nice to see this stuff anyway.

London's changed for the better since we left in 1986. It's a lot cleaner and more visitor friendly now. We visited some old haunts and actually done some touristy things as well, like going on the London Eye. That was superb, although Deek was tempted to throw me off when I proclaimed, as I took a picture of the Royal Festival Hall from the air, that 'history was made there'. Me thinks I've put him off TPK forever :D

I have heard from Mick last night it seems he overdid his celebrations a wee bit:lol:
