Right lads and lassies, my last post for a few days.

:wtf: Can you say about Celtic?

our Bhoys were ABSOLUTELY MAGNIFICENT!!!

One of the happiest days of my life, I can never remember feeling happier at the sound of a final whistle. And I've been to a hell of a lot of memorable games over the years....Amsterdam for Ajax, Scottish Cup Finals in 85 and 88, beating Rangers 5-1 at Parkhead, Gubbing United in Giggsy's testimonial, the championship clincher against St Johnstone.....

I have to say the BIGGEST thank-you in the WORLD to my favourite and bestest Uncly John. What a craic we had, touring the Camp Nou, getting drunk with thousands of Celtic supporters on Las Ramblas, worrying about getting into the ground, then taking our place with 30,000 Barcelona fans all around us!

There will be a story of our escapades very soon.

"Barcelona, Real Madrid who the fuck they trying to kid? For we're off to show the world what we can do!"

HAIL HAIL from The Shugster.

What's the feeling about O'Neil's future from the Celtic camp? Rumours persist about him taking over from either Houllier or Ferguson, personally I've always thought of him as an arrogant get and I don't really like him but a lot of our fans do. Do you think he's likely to leave? Also what's his transfer budget like up there? I can't recall any signings he's made. Who's come and gone and for what fees?

O'Neill's success is all about his management skills, he gets the team working for each other, and every player who goes out there with a green and white shirt on is doing it for the team and the fans, they all perform week in week out because he demands it. True, it's a bit easier turning it on against monkeys and plumbers every week as opposed to proper quality opponents, but they have also shown that they can do it when faced with the international whos-who of football glamour as well.

He hasn't needed a big transfer budget to achieve success at Celtic, he's done it by instilling belief and team spirit in the squad. Fair play to him, I never warmed to him when he was a TV pundit in world cups etc, but he has shown that his methods do work when he has some decent players to work with (what he achieved at Leicester x 10).

Transfer Budget? Wass that? St Martin has come out so many times to say he has no intention of going anywhere, he gets as bored with it as the fans. You just need to listen to him and what he says when he talks about building a team for the next few years, that's not someone who's gonna leave is it? I don't know who's worse, the Scottish rags or the English! Which is why I ONLY read the quotes and not the jumped up views of shabby journalists. MON has had fuck all to spend for the last two seasons, and knowing the Celtic board, he'll have bear bones to spend again, it seems the directors are more happy trying to break even with the transfer market the way it is. I'd love them to show him a bit of fucking loyalty for the work he's done, the team are over-achieving thanks to MON and the work from John Robertson and Stevie Walford. When Henke leaves us, I hope he's given some funds for a half decent striker, with injuries to Sutton, Hartson and Maloney recently, it shows us we need someone to come in and do a job. Personally I'd love someone like Robbie Keane, young and talent in bundles, and of course, he's a Tim. If funds are not made available this year or next, I would sense St Martin would have had enough, but I think he wants to impose himself in Celtic folklore the way Jock Stein did. Look at where we were 5 years ago and where we are now! It makes all the years of heartache worthwhile. With young Marshall, Kennedy, Maloney, Beattie, Pearson, McManus et al, MON is building the next batch of future players for the Bhoys.

Aye, but how would that translate to a title challenging side south of the border, were funds would be available and he would be judged by how wisely he invested them?

I see Celtic's limited success in Europe as emulating ours under Houllier we had a fantastic team spirit and took the confidence of a team on the up into the European arena. Also at the time we employed a similar direct approach with former Leicester man Heskey as a target man. It's a shock to the system to the continentals but hasn't proved successful as a long term strategy.

Same reason Kewell left Leeds and chose us ahead of you, Hamann left Newcastle, Finann left Fulham, the four most talented french players of their generation are here or on the way, to play alongside two of England's key men. He'd also have about 12m a year minimum to invest on players and play in a league with a much higher regard around the world, were he spent his playing career.

At the end of the day Liverpool have a much more glorious past than all of Britains clubs, by a street and even in the days of post sky, new fan muppets who snub their noses at competitions they've never even won, it still counts for a lot.

Two of Englands key men? I thought you had 3 England players,Owen Gerrard & Heskey. Im only winding you up mate,i feel sorry for you, that Houllier needs shooting. Every manager makes bad choices,i mean look at us now-were right in the shit if we lose tomorrow. But i think for a club with such loyal supporters your board are takin the piss mate. A club like Liverpool shouldnt have the attitude "If we get fourth place thatll do" thatll do for who? not the fans, not the players. You have a good side now-but if Houllier stays i think they`ll start fuckin off. Starting with Owen.

Not sure you are winding me up, though I had an inkling it was your intention. As for shooting the man who brought all these fabulous players here, that would seem a bit extreme for me. I can see we haven't reached the heights we would hope for but he still remains the 3rd most successful manager, despite having the 5th highest budget during his 5 years in charge.

I don't think anyone has the idea that 4th place will do, though in a season massively hit with injuries, it quickly became apparent that it was all we could hope for. The fact that depsite the return to health of the majority of our squad there has benn no siginificant improvement means Houllier is far from certain to remain in charge.

How's our board taking the piss? Do you mean by not sacking him? I think backing a manager and giving him time to bring to fruition his long term strategy would be something a Man Utd fan could see the benefits of. Still I'm sure they don't have an inexhaustable supply of patience.
