:( Unfortunately we were not allowed to record the gig, either on audio or video. The guy who films our gigs had his camera taken away until the end of the gig.

Other than that it was a good gig although I can't hear anything at all today!

Thanks to all for the good luck messages etc.

you, the performer, were not allowed to have your own perfomance taped? that's outta line. what were the reasons?

They said we had to apply for a licence to film in advance.

Just another way tocharge us some cash I think:(

huh... seems kinda facist. was it just one hand-held cam, or were you going for multiple shots? some clubs in hollywood will offer to shoot your show, and add sound from the board for a fee. they also discourage self-filming, due to the competition, but they really can't stop you, as long as they don't catch you filming other bands sets...

It's the ban on doing your own Audio recording that freaks me ! Have All About Eve forgotten what it was like when they had support slots and wanted to tape the show to see how new songs went, etc ? Bastards ! They're your fookin' songs for christ's sake, who do they think they are ?

some venues, for logistical reasons, won't allow individual bands to get an audio recording straight off the board for logistical reasons. i assumed that was the cause of not being able to get that, but to have equipment taken away? that seems outta hand.

All About Eve were fine with it. It was the venue who insisted on a brodcast licence.

Never mind, we will be gigging throught te UK soon(ish) so will get to record when we do that.
