First off...got my raise today...it's only $3000 a year...but I've got a friend at EDS who hasn't seen a raise in 3 years...and that's with high marks on his review...

second...had somebody in the store looking for New Order today...we didn't have anything to sell her, but I told her where to go to find it...and even plugged our website...

third...met an 11 year old today wearing the hoops in the store...his father was as astonished as I was at running into a Celtic supporter in a Target in Dallas...we chatted for about an hour, and they were just a wee bit jealous that I had made it to Seattle last year...they will be going to Philly this year, to see the Bhoys take on ManYoo...

see...even I have a good day dealing with the public every now and then!!!

Blimey! an eventful day!

Yeah, it was in the last year or two, don't remember exactly when, the usual Playboy type layout as well.

Nice to see, Jeff, that Target does have a few decent musical choices in their limited music department, saw the Yeah Yeah Yeahs album for 9 dollars, and The Postal Service's album for 12. They also had a title by one of the most unfortunately named bands that I can ever recall: Something Corporate :skeptic: Who in the hell would name a band that?

Picked up the yeah yeah yeah's cd, based solely on hearing Maps...haven't opened it yet...

but yes, the dearth of quality material in our entertainment department is a sore point...I've gotten with the higher ups to see if we can't get some better stuff in...but it all hinges on moving massive amounts of discs, or which record companies are willing to shell out dough for shelf space....

but then again...what else would we expect from a company that put the low-life cover in the ad when Get Ready came out???
