Good God, there is an incredible amount of shite on that list...so tough to choose which one I hated most...
can't remember which made my stomach turn more...the macarena or Debbie Boone...
shudders!!!
While that is a kybo full of shit, The Worst R&R song EVAR is Beach Trip by Billy Scott & The Prophets. I hear this on muzak all the fooking time. The song is so crappy that I cannot find the lyrics to in on a Google search. But you can rent the band for $2500 a night.
and I'll ask this one for my friend the Shugster...
where the fook is World In Fooking Motion???![]()
Hmm, the fans of Starship will be pissed about this.....all two of them ![]()
Sincerely, Trevor Seigler President, Starship International Fanclub www.mickeythomas.com :p
Not that I liked that Starship song at all, but that lame-ass ballad Sara from them irritated the hell out of me much worse than than We Built This City.
I don't think there is ever an occasion in the UK
where "Achy Breaky Heart" isn't given an airing.
Seems to get the masses off their asses onto the
dancefloor.
Brother in-law always gives a stomach churning rendition
on the karaoke every new year without fail. ![]()
what the hell's wrong with 'the heart of rock 'n' roll' by huey lewis and the news, damn it?
I see the Rick James produced "Party All the Time" got a nod ![]()

Eddie Murphy: "Rick, this song is awful!" [pauses] Rick James: "I'm Rick James, bitch!"
Th Starship performance on the Star Wars Holiday Special alone merits their place at the top of this list. Once you've seen it, you can never go back..........
(imagine exaggerated "villian laughter")

'sports' is one of the classic albums of the 1980s, and don't you forget it!

Ebony and Ivory :barf:
they're all truly horrible songs but could they not find a place for Bohemian Rhapsody as well.

Or as my cousin refers to them, Huey Lewis and the Snooze.
Dressing Up by The Cure IS THE WORST SONG EVER. For those that hate Fat Bob, give it a listen and see if you can make it through the entire song. I cannot believe it made to vinyl especially on The Top.

Cuz people would wrongly accuse New Order's version of being shite too (except for Mike, who would wholeheartedly agree). ![]()

Well, I'd argue that The Cure has worse songs. On Wild Mood Swings, for example. That DREADFUL Round and Round song, for one.
The real worst song of all time? Anything by Justin Timbertwit, especially Rock Your Body. Double thumbs down from me!

I have Wild Mood Swings but never play it. The Top, however, is a most excellent Cure album with the exception of the shit he took on Dressing Up.
Now ponder this, 39 as the worst Cure song, especially live, because it goes on and on and on and on and on and on and onon and on and on and on and on and on and on on and on and on and on and on and on and onon and on and on and on and on and on and on on and on and on and on and on and on and on on on and on and on and on and on and on and on on and on and on and on and on and on and on on and on and on and on and on and on and on and on and on and on and on and on and on. I can actually feel my hair turn grey while that song plays.

Well, Watching Me Fall is the REALLY long one (their longest song, other than the pleasant Carnage Visors and certain long live versions of A Forest) that I really wouldn't want to see live. It's not a bad song, though. A lot of the songs on Bloodflowers just seem to go on for too long (though the title track is perfect, easily the best one on the album).

Watching Me Fall is awesome live. Aside from seeing it on Trilogy several times, I first saw them play it live in Camden, NJ, back in 2000. I personally don't get tired of it's length.

the sad thing about Jefferson Starship reaching no 1 in the worst song poll is that they used to call themselves Jefferson Airplane (or aeroplane, if you're american) and released "white rabbit" in 1967; one of the greatest songs ever written. how could they sink so low in the 80's? What the hell happened to grace slick?![]()
