i was on the train to my father's today and there would have been a half dozen diggers in my carriage, i sat next to one of these gentleman and started talking about war, this guy served in ww2, korea and vietnam, he told me the horrors he had been thru and i felt so sorry for him and what he had suffered, and then he started talking about iraq. as my station aproached he called the iraqi people "stupid muslims", i didn't answer him, i was to angry. i respect our anzacs and their sacrifices, but it is such a shame to see them still hold their racist values, it was such a shame, but these guys are from a different time, where their beliefs were the norm.

Wouldn't be too harsh on him Vanessa. They certainly didn't have access to the same levels of education and international communication in 'his day'. They've paid their dues. Thankfully that sort of sentiment is filtering out of Australian society as their generation passes.

yeah buffy, everytime i've put up a new avatar it's way to big, but after a day or two it magically shrinks to an appropriate size. it's remarkable how much you look like Drew Barrymore, isn't it?

Buffer and Buffy are as of tomorrow going on a "holiday", so when we get back we will start the Buffy and Buffer thread (approx mid June), so you will hear about our boring, mundane (really exciting, etc) lives then.

Have a good holiday. Not much chance of me havin one this year.
