Have to agree with that - probably the best Scotsman still playing in Scotland - very consistent for many years now.

This surely has to be down to a marked improvement over the past year than anything else, surely? He couldn't get anywhere near the Celtic team for the past couple of years bar being used as a 'utility man' (to use an old-fashioned phrase from the 70's!).

He's been magic, the best form he's been in since winning Players Player Of The Year back in 98. He's struggled over the last few years to get a decent run in the side, but he's been magic this season, hopefully he'll be captaining us to the double on the 22nd:D

Shug - what's this Liam Miller like ? Is he as good as everyone down here is saying ?

The Scottish Player Of The Year? Isn`t that the most pointless award since Judas Iscariot won the AD38 'Best Disciple' Contest?

And before any of you Jocks jump down my proverbial cyber-throat, I KNOW I nicked that quip! 'Blackadder' is a veritable gold-mine for `em!

He's a great player - quick, skillful, two footed, decent in the air and pretty strong for a wee lad. His best position is as an attacking midfielder but he's also been used on the right side as well. Our loss is definitely the Manky's gain. Oh how they could've done with him this season.

I am just trying to work out what you mean? In what way? Do they not have a player of the year down here?

Youngsters today:nonono:

As for Miller, as ma wee cuz has pointed out, he's a great prospect, just wish you Manky Bastards hadnae nicked him;)

Plenty of potential in Miller, whether he can maintain his fitness to realise the promise he has shown is doubtful. He is now 23 and has only played around 25 first team games for Celtic due to various injuries. I personally think he should have stayed and tried to establish himself at Celtic for a couple of years before contemplating a move. As for Scottish Player Of The Year I think Yer Man Neil Lennon should have won it just ahead of Chris Sutton.
