Still faves of mine, fave albums are Light User Syndrome, Grotesque, Hex Enduction Hour, and This Nation's Saving Grace.

I see that MES has cancelled the rest of their US tour, could be for health reasons, glad I didn't venture down to Cali for any of the shows. The weird thing is that their last album isn't being released here in the US for another month.

Watching Brix doing leg kicks while laying on her back onstage in front of me was something I'll always remember :) MES was nonplussed as his missus was acting up, and all of the "way too cool" college DJ's acted shocked by Brix's onstage demeanor.

Well, we didn't see anything good as she was wearing some black stockings, it was just funny to see her play with the attitudes of some of the people in the audience. (for the record, it was Portland 88, with Howard Devoto's Luxuria opening)

Down the front at Tottenham Court Road with Brix's crotch in my face wiggling to Glam Racket letting me hold her legs with her laughing like a good un was one of the Fall's highlights for me. MES didn't bat an eye. Because he was off his face. That night she kissed her plectrum and put it into my hand and folded it in front of me. She gave me her plectrum and took my heart. Ahhhhh.

SSS made two albums with the same drum beat same programing same samples the only difference was the lyrics(sometimes) to compare that to The Fall who have released some 70 odd albums none which sound like each other....

Anyone would think I'm Sigue Sigue's biggest supporter, the way you barks are carrying on. I only said I liked 'Love Missile F1-11', don't read so much into it! Should I be apologising that they're not the Cure...?

Triple S can't be that bad, the Duke himself David Bowie deemed 'Love Missile' good enough for a cover version. And a splendid job he made of it, too! Not as good as the original though, as covers never are COUGHVietnamCOUGH

Oh, & Ian, you say none of the Falls 70-odd albums sound like each other? My dad is a Fall fan for his sins, & Mark E. Smith has the same ranty, monotonous voice on all the songs. Bit samey, I reckon, even if the musical arrangement might differ on a few tracks.

I went right off Inspiral Carpets when Smith guested on 'I Want You'. They might as well have recorded a song with Half Man Half Biscuit...

Sarcastic prick! I meant that Smith appears to have the same droning, can't-quite-work-out-what-the-feck-he's-saying kind of voice in every Fall track; he has no range

'I Want You' by the Carpets is not a fraction as good as stuff like 'This Is How It Feels', 'Move' & 'Uniform'.

Sony also agreed with me as they used it on one of their ads didn't they?

as i said it is my opinion that i want you was an improvement, saw them in birmingham in the piranhas club circa 89 & they were ok but the fall live were always entertaining, crap jumpers, tantrums, great songs, mes shootiung daggers at the band etc
