one thing you can't accuse them of in my book* is being typical
*things you cant accuse the fall of, by the hibster, grantham 2004 - out now in all good book shops
Still faves of mine, fave albums are Light User Syndrome, Grotesque, Hex Enduction Hour, and This Nation's Saving Grace.
I see that MES has cancelled the rest of their US tour, could be for health reasons, glad I didn't venture down to Cali for any of the shows. The weird thing is that their last album isn't being released here in the US for another month.
Watching Brix doing leg kicks while laying on her back onstage in front of me was something I'll always remember :) MES was nonplussed as his missus was acting up, and all of the "way too cool" college DJ's acted shocked by Brix's onstage demeanor.

id like to see that
Well, we didn't see anything good
as she was wearing some black stockings, it was just funny to see her play with the attitudes of some of the people in the audience. (for the record, it was Portland 88, with Howard Devoto's Luxuria opening)

Down the front at Tottenham Court Road with Brix's crotch in my face wiggling to Glam Racket letting me hold her legs with her laughing like a good un was one of the Fall's highlights for me. MES didn't bat an eye. Because he was off his face. That night she kissed her plectrum and put it into my hand and folded it in front of me. She gave me her plectrum and took my heart. Ahhhhh.
I THINK THE FALL ARE GREAT. Typical? What kind of bollocks is that??!!
Typical? Atypical perhaps but never typical. From the New Order school of gigging, either fabulous or downright atrocious.MES Love him/hate him? Both.

*things you cant accuse the fall of, by the hibster, grantham 2004 - out now in all good book shops I don't know. Their music just sounds like any other band one could run across. Nothing in it catches me, personally. I will, however, recommend your book to one of my friends who loves The Fall.
A post about The Fall? Dear Lord; come back Robert Smith, all is forgiven (not that he went anywhere, this bloody message board is Cure-obsessed)
What next, is someone going to post a thread about Half Man Half Biscuit...?
:barf:
Still have yet to hear anything by them ![]()
Oh, the Fall are very popular in Backwoods Redneckville, SC :p

Hey, don't knock 'em! 'Love Missile F1-11' was one of the best one-hit-wonders of the 1980s

Favourite title has to be "23 Years Tending The Wrong Grave".

Seems a lot of Fall fans preferred her to Brix too.Buggered if I can find a piccie of her on the net though. :(
There are some out there somewhere, can't remember where I found 'em now though. I'll have another look. Had excellent vantage point above stage at one show in 86 when backstage with The Beloved. Marcia's dress was rather low-cut !

You're going home in a Crispy Ambulance.
hmmm...I can't say for sure that I have heard anything by them...I'm sure, that at some point, it would be inevitable...
I guess I could try a few of their choons...

SSS made two albums with the same drum beat same programing same samples the only difference was the lyrics(sometimes) to compare that to The Fall who have released some 70 odd albums none which sound like each other....
I think the point stands there
Anyone would think I'm Sigue Sigue's biggest supporter, the way you barks are carrying on. I only said I liked 'Love Missile F1-11', don't read so much into it! Should I be apologising that they're not the Cure...? ![]()
Triple S can't be that bad, the Duke himself David Bowie deemed 'Love Missile' good enough for a cover version. And a splendid job he made of it, too! Not as good as the original though, as covers never are COUGHVietnamCOUGH
