The Farm to record the official England Euro 2004 anthem

Just read on Ceefax that Scouse band The Farm have been chosen to re-record their classic hit 'All Together Now' as the England squad`s official Euro 2004 song. That song was a Top 5 hit in 1990, & reached the Top 30 in 1995 when re-recorded with the Everton FC squad.

Personally, I think this is a bloody great choice for the England theme. 'All Together Now' is one of my all-time favourite singles, & deserves to be updated/heard again by a new generation of music & football fans.

No doubt therell be at least one person at NOOL wholl object to the Farm being given the task, but to you I say: Come On! It beats having that shower of bennys Blazin Squad record an anthem for our national team. Supposedly the Bullshit Squad were the original choice of the FA, so I think weve all had a lucky escape there, thanks to the FA`s change of heart.

It was amusing to read that when they recorded the song with Everton most of the band members were regular visitors of the Spion Kop.

I believe The Farm are still involved somehow in the project (it is their song, after all), even though the main force behind it is Radio 1's DJ Spoony (what a cretinous name)

The XFM Euro 2004 CD should be a lot better than that Farm yard shite. Featured on the CD are two songs that won through to a radio knock out competition. The A side is a song called 'Born In England' an Oasis like anthem bound to please the fans as much as WIM.

Who the hell wants an Oasis-soundalike for Englands Euro 2004 anthem? No one with any functioning brain-cells has liked Oasis for the last 8 or 9 years now, & the last thing anyone wants is a bunch of guitar-wielding, shoe-staring bores put out a nasty song backed by a commercial radio station posing as an "alternative indie station"

Reissue Reissue. Thank god New Order didn`t reissue WIM and call it EIM , reissues are a waste of time and energy, how unoriginal and uninspiring.
