Well, I made a promise to my wife to keep out of the house while she was studying for her exam this afternoon, and I went to the movies. Since it's a holiday here today, everything was closed, so I was a bit bugged by the fact that there isn't any movie that interested me.. so after 1h of switching from a theatre to another to find a decent movie, since I promised my wife, I did pick one I would have probably rented, and tried to hide a little when buying the ticket...

I picked Shrek 2 because it was the only movie I could go see without waiting at least 1h.

Well, surprise surprise, it was quite enjoyable, and I laughed a lot while watching it... I'm recommanding it, there are tons of elements that are for grown ups in this (like the Simpsons)... it was quite funny.

My wife's family in New Jersey are off to see that any day now. Over here in the United Kingdom, my wife, my best mate & I will be watching 'Harry Potter & The Prisoner Of Azkaban' next Wednesday.

The third book is the best of the five ('Order Of The Phoenix' was so shit), so I have high hopes for the movie. I don't go to the cinema that much, aside from the fact that I dont like being out in public places for too long, I get really irritated by people muttering during silent bits, & rustling of sweet wrappers & popcorn bags...

do I take it from that you never saw Shrek 1? Definitely an adult movie, can't wait to see the second one. Classic Eddie Murphy, these parts were written just for him

I saw Shrek 2 last Saturday. I loved it. I thought the ending was perdictable, but still a great movie! I hope you stayed for the crededs to see the extra scene with the dragon at the end, quite funny :laugh:

I even got Shrek 3d which is only 16 mins but quite good.

Great movie (The "COPS" spoof was tooo much :lol: )

Wish I could've stayed to see the ending though...Fookin' girlfriend always has to rush right outta there :nonono:

Its currently doing the rounds on pirate dvd here,as is Van Helsing,etc etc. Cinema,who can afford picknmix nowdays? :evil4:

For no particular reason, I think for me, the best joke was the catnip one... it REALLY made me laugh my ass off!!

Yes I did see the first one on DVD, hence why I manage to see the 2nd one, but let's see there were a lot of kids around :D

I agree that the Cops parody was indeed the funniest moment of the movie.

Too bad many people in here never saw "Cops", so they won't get it.

Apparently I missed a spiderman joke, where was it? I noticed most of the movie jokes (the flashdance one was funny too)... but I don't recall a spiderman joke.

As for Shrek 2, I'd like to see it. The first one I caught on cable one night and was pleasantly surprised by. I probably won't catch it until DVD, though :shrug:

Nah,these pirates are sourced from the original dvd discs they use on airlines. Perfect picture with proper 5.1 sound.
