Is the new music-only forum a good idea or bad?

It's a good idea, even though it will take some time before we get used to visit it on a regular basis.
It helps reducing the number of threads in this forum, which is good for our aching head.
BTW, this poll should have been posted in the "State Of The Nation" forum, shouldn't it? 
Headaches indeedy, it's bad enough flicking between here and the main forum.....no more please.

Personally I have no problem with music being in a separate forum, the success or otherwise of the operation will depend on whether people buy into it, if too much topic shifting and policing is required then it will be a waste of time.
To me, the only opinion should be the one of the BCD moderators, they are the one who will have to do the work. Shug ?
If it was only me, I'd do a forum for sports & politics as well, but well, it's a NewOrder site isn't it?
Sebastien might be right on this one, too much is like not enough.
I think I might clean up a few forums, some will lost their moderator powers though 
, example, Weekly Song Review...
I fear that by removing the "state of the nation" forum we'll suffer from poll invasion again though, but it's a risk.
The Community forum will be merged in the main forum eventually, since it's pretty much dead these days...
Can we have a JOB PAGE but only on a THURSDAY cos i am in the pub the rest of the time? IDLE of CHORLEY :D
The only think that is in favor of seperating topics, is that it's less annoying for non-regulars.
I mean, if you wish to follow threads about music, but you don't log on daily, threads are easily pushed back the first page by the tons of messages posted in BCD...
I admit that having to check several forums might be an issue, but it's mostly for regulars I must say, but after creating the forum, I also noticed there weren't THAT many musical threads in the off-topic forum, so this might not be a so big issue, it might even help to have more musical discussions... 
I actually like the idea. Why dig down through upteem posts about boobies, beer, and soccer to search for that Cure thread? Of course the boobies and beer posts are mine.
I think its a good idea,we might get more interesting threads on BCD now. But obviously we want this for music and other junk ones.
I don't really care whether there's a seperate music forum or not, as long as I get to go to McDonalds next Wednesday.

Perhaps these two need their own forum called "Call me a twat did you?". And how about a lovers' forum "L'amour Will Tear Us Apart" for those personal messages that are just too rude for general consumption - you would have to have posted at least 5,000,000 posts to view this though.
