since my first go at this was somehow hi-jacked beyond even my comprehension...

I am having a go at the fantasy Euro2004 thing...myself and a very impressionable lady friend of mine are participating in this...and tonight, we decided to start up a mini-league...so if any of you Engerlish want to teach us how to properly manage a footie squad...meet us here!!!

just click on the link in my first post...set up your team...and then on your team's home page, their should be a link for mini-league...click on that, and enter the details that I posted...should do the trick...

btw, i don´t understand the points. why if you add all the points from each player chosen it doesn´t match with the total points? :confused2:

i have -2+2-3+2+5=8?!?!?!?!? sophia is leading and she has this points: 5+2+4+4+5+4=34?!?!?!?!? :uhoh:

can someone please explain? :skeptic:

Because he/she has transferred OUT all the players who've got points for them so far. They're obviously taking each day as it comes - like today, they've got three Eyeties at the back, and Vieiri up front.

Well, if i´m not wrong it is something like this:

You´ve made in the first pair of matches: 4 (2+2) You´ve made in the second pair of matches: 0(5-3-2)+ 4 (from the previous matches) So now you have: 8 (4+4)

And the same happens with Spfía, she has 10 for the firt matches, and then 14 for the second matches + the 10 she already has, so 10 + 24 = 34

Do i get it right? :confused2:

I think there's a fault on their database. The points system isn't working, as only one of my players was in minus points (Costinha, 2 goals conceded and a yellow card), and I had Zidane for 13 points, plus several others who played over the weekend, yet I only had 7 points. It isn't totalling the scores correctly, which is going to render the whole thing a farce pretty quickly.

Also, allowing 40 transfers means that people are going to be changing the side daily depending on who is playing, it becomes quite easy. Hence the several Italians now in my side !

Top idea. However, a lot of players now appear to be 'unavailable' with an 'X' down the left hand side - can't find any ruling to say why this is. Suffice to say, they appear to be the better players.

There certainly seems to be errors on the database... for some reason all my current 11 seem to have zero points each now that i checked, and i know this isnt true, since i still have 2 greeks on it that i havent replaced (plus a couple more that gave me some as well). I dont know why is this, i guess that in individual players there may appear errors, but i hope that the total scores are right (since im doin ok so far and i hate to be doubts :evil4: ) .

The X means you can't afford them. The values allocated to each set of players is ridiculous, they are promoting people picking a 5-3-2 formation by making defenders so much cheaper, and awarding as many points for a clean sheet as a goal......plus, you can't change your formation once you have chosen it to start with.

Larsson's first goal tonight was one of the best team goals I have ever seen, topped by two fantastic pieces of football. Fair play to the Swedes, they weren't too clever to start with, but tore the Bulgars apart later on.

Go to the min-league and press (p) next to Cain United - it defo tots up. He/she has made 29 changes thus far and you can see all the points they've had included for players who've now left their team.

i thought that if you made changes those substitutions would replace the other player´s points! so technically you´re not playing with 11 players but 11 + the number of sustitutions you make! :nuts:

Indeed, but obviously only the players you've got in your 11 at any one time can score.

So, the secret is to flood your team with Czechs, Germans and Dutch tonight.

Think we should leave the Latvians alone though. Although anyone watching the game look our for a huge Latvian flag with LATVIAN LEEDS through the middle of it. It's Johnny Giles and crew!
