Couldn't score in open play but punished two schoolboy errors from set pieces.
It's no crime to hold the world's number 2 team for 89mins and entirely shackle their two strikers, especially with one young player only starting his 2nd(?) England game who ain't hardly played in that position for his club all season.
I thought King was superb and done himself proud.
3 Individual errors from England and a moment of individual brilliance from Zidane's free kick cost us that game.

That's the impression I got from the accounts I read of those who'd seen the match, so good for him.
Didn't watch it, unfortunately, as I had family matters to attend to at that time, so hopefully this'll be a learning process for the team.
ESPN did show the highlights on their primetime Sportscenter, so I did get to see that great save by Barthez.

I think 88 mins of brilliance (even James),then 3 mins of stupidity is just typical England.
Mike reminds me of the sort of guy who, before a big football tournament, rushes out to Sainsburys to buy flags for his car & windows, then after seeing England lose their first match, he can't resist slagging them off to all & sundry, but still keeping his flags handy in case they win their next two games.
