Audiograbber is excellent for converting CDs to WAV or MP3 as you can use the "normalise" options to amplify tracks ripped from old poorly-mastered CDs so that their peak volume is the same as the peak volume of tracks ripped from new or remastered CDs (so when you burn a CD you don't have some tracks that seem twice or three times as loud as other tracks). If you want to download it visit the following page and select the server nearest to you (although the file is only 1.6Mb so it shouldn't take long to download):

If you download Audiograbber I suggest that you also download the LAME MP3 DLL and BladeEnc's MP3 DLL (which you will need if you want to convert files to MP3 as well as WAV) and files for any languages other than English, German, Spanish, French and Italian that you may need. Links to download sites and advice on installation are on the same page. By the way it's freeware.
