That's it for another two years, then. At least that Scotch scumbag will have something to gloat about when he returns. Let's face it, he can't gloat about Jockland's footballing merits, as they have none, so Shug'll just have to rip on England out of sheer envy.

I thought England did reasonably well overall, but like against France, they were too nervous & gave Portugal too many chances. The Campbell goal being disallowed was a travesty, & that penalty spot is a source for much controversy, but congrats to Portugal though, on the night they deserved to win & I hope they get to the final now.

All this Roo-mania is a bit overwhelming, for me the England player of the tournament was Lampard, he showed some real class in every game he played, & got 3 vital goals. Rooney was good, but all the hype is unjust at the moment; he'll be better when he's older. David Beckham, though: absolutely pathetic throughout the whole tournament. Slow, lazy & even his set-pieces were hit-&-miss

Lampard is the best English player in these times, for sure. Wouldnt change him for Beckham, Owen or Rooooooooney, the three together.

im gutted to see england go out,but even i have to admit that they played like a bunch of twats for at least 80 mins of the match. when u pin your hopes on the likes of rooney (shrek) what hope is there eh?.

i think now everyone knows Beckham is one of the BIGGEST lies in modern football. i´m glad he was the one to miss that penalty. and get yourselves a goalkeeper, for christ sake!!!

 for Lampard, though. great effort!

Me and Beckham have fallen out. Stuck with him through thick and thin, let him off the obvious indiscretions and given him the benefit of the doubt. The excuse was that he wasn't fit in 2002. What excuse now ? Got his cock wedged in a hoor ? He hasn't looked to impose himself on any game, the one-trick pony has gone lame.

Whats the story with England and penalties??? Same story again as 1990, 1996 and 1998. A curse of somekind or just (beckham's in specific) incapability :confused2: ? Anyways, im pretty sure the result would be different if Rooney wasnt injured so early and England had a descent substitute for him. Its a shame for them they returned home so early since they were one of the best teams in this turnament, but thats football i guess. Congrats to Portugal, the road is open for them now, all they gotta do is (finally) to have faith in themsleves that they ' ll go all the way :) .

Will the final be Portugal x Greece ??? :eek3::eek3:

But, for me, one thing is very clear : watching the games of this Eurocope I see that Brazil can win the next Worldcup in Germany without problems....what a poor football the Europeans are playing :(

Just been announced that Gerrard is staying at Liverpool. And you're £129 better off aswell Hank.:thumb:

Pretty much, the story goes he met Chelsea during the Euro warm up games in Manchester, agreed to join but told his mates he was staying, then he admitted he was off(this was prior to the Portugal game). Some of them were out there and none of them were best pleased. When he got back to Liverpool he seems to have had a rethink. He met Chlesea yesterday morning and told them he was staying. I doubt there's anyhting in the Mail's story about his change of heart. He didn't look comfortable in the press conference but they seem to have run a bullshit story with absolutely no substance. If you haven't seen it they also suggest scousers are likely to intimidate Rooney into staying. Disgraceful scumbags.

I've never met a scouser yet who deserves to be called a disgraceful scumbag !

Personally i hope Rooney dont come to United - certainly not at the expense or Ruud. Rooneys an overhyped fat kid, scores a couple of half decent goals against 3rd rate opposition and he's hailed a messiah.. Get real, he did fuck all at Everton last season:nonono::nonono:

Played marginally better than the rest of 'em last season. When he wasn't on suspension that is.

If he's gonna go then I hope he goes to Chelski. I just can't see him playing for United.

Seriously? He has the touch and finnesse of Cantona, is faster and almost has his awareness. I should think he's demonstrated enough at international level to suggest that regular goals will come in a strong side. All this at 18. What had Cantona done at 18?

RVN is still knocking them and is a decent link man. Hasn't maintained the heights of 2002/3 for me though. Not as dangerous from outside the box as he was. Still it would leave you short of an out and out goal scorer, if he left.

Personally I hope he stays put, Everton deserve to have something to shout about.

Be interesting to hear what gets shouted at Bent's direction in the forthcoming season.:evil4: And how many fans will have BENT on the back of their shirts.

Full credit to Big Phil and his players for turning it around after the opening defeat to Greece. Portugal were excellent tonight and fully deserved the win. Fantastic goal by Maniche, and Figo was superb also. Hope they win on Sunday.
