Need Help On Drum Machines.

hey guys, i want to get a retro sounding but modern drum machine. so i can make those new wave beats but yet have capabilities and abilities of todays drum machines. going for a new wave post punk old goth sound. can anyone give me a few pointers? websites? or drum machines that would do the trick? i want to be able to play live as well.
