Star Wars : Episode lll

So its called "Revenge Of The Sith",didnt they use a similar title 20 odd years ago for Return Of The Jedi to stop illegal merchandise? Sorry if your not interested-i hadnt started a thread for ages!

That got me thinking too. I think Revenge Of The Jedi was actually the original title back then though. It was changed to 'Return' after loads of fans complained that revenge is not a Jedi trait. Saw on a documentary that "Revenge Of The Jedi" t-shirts were given to some of the crew before the name change, one of them said he'd use it one day to put his kids through college.

Correct on the "revenge is not a Jedi trait" thing. If I recall, they filmed the movie under the title "Blue Harvest" (or something innocuous like that) so that hordes of Star Wars geeks wouldn't swarm all over the set.

And no, just because I know that stuff does not make me one of them!

the new fliks name was revealed at a comic book convention (where else eh?)and acording to reports some people screamed with joy whilst others openly wept and hugged each other. now dont get me wrong but the only way id scream with joy or cry at the anouncment of a new films name is if id had a couple of hundred quid on it at the bookies and won sad bastards want to get a life.

Sounds like a fake-out. Like Jim Rome was saying today, "who knows what a Sith is?"

It'll probably be something more like "The Wrath of Darth" or "Yoda and Hutch"
