just got back home...and it was a pretty damn good match...2 goals in the last couple of minutes...I think the final was 3-1...but I'm drunk...so can't recall for sure...too bad that Rooney chap wasn't there...but the Mexican fans were LOADS of fun!!!!

like I could remember...the Mexican (Club America) side won...and looked in fine form...but it was rather warm...and humid...which probably gave Club America a certain advantage...I don't reckon the Everton are used to this kind of weather!!!
and we drank loads of beer and tequila with the CA fans...met up with a couple of them in the parking lot...and we polished off a bottle of tequila that I had in the trunk of the car...no wonder I was sooooo pissed when I got back home!!!
How have the games been received generally over there? Do you know the figures for the attendances? And how would you say the clubs rank in popularity?
Celtic are to be the first club offered to play over there next year, and will receive top billing according to Champions World, mainly because of their ability to pull in the crowds. The lowest crowd was just over 30,000 against Chelsea in Seattle. MON has said they will possibly attend next year as long as they face the same structure as the rest of the teams. No-one else played 4 games this year (and in only 8 days flying all over the place) I think they are hoping to fit Boston in next year. This was in the Scottish papers at the weekend. So I can't speak for any of the other clubs.

The best way to watch an Everton match these days. Me flask of Tequila will be working overtime this season.

Most of the games have been pretty well received, with some good matchups for the friendlys, and the teams were trying, the lone exception being the Bayern/Man U match in Chicago, of which I've read a number of complaints.
First of all, the promoter, ChampionsWorld, apparently advertised the fact that all of the stars for Man U would be playing, despite the factors like the Euro2004, injuries, player sales, etc. When none of them did play, and the ones who did put on a rather pathetic football exhibition (I'm paraphrasing what I've read, I didn't see the match). There were quite a number of boos at the stadium, along with the side issues such as paying nearly $40 for parking, $10 for a beer, etc.
ChampionsWorld also cocked it for the supporter clubs in the US for Man U and Celtic, which they set up last year, by not having gear for the fans ready in time for the matches, just ask Jeff.
There've been a number of supporters for a number of clubs over here, even if they're not playing, saw some Newcastle shirts around, I've seen quite a few Liverpool shirts as well, everybody I've met has been pleased to have been over here, all except for the idiotic Sunderland fan last year.
A lot of the kids up here bought Chelsea shirts this year, last year I'm sure they were the ones buying all the Man U stuff.
I heard You'll Never Walk Alone during the Liverpool/Celtic match on TV a LOT, which was nice. Would've loved to seen Liverpool this year, hopefully they'll return next year; Man U are going to Asia, and there have been rumours that Arsenal may tour here next year. And yes, Shug, the schedule makers did Celtic no favors at all. 
yes...but knowing that Celtic had the strongest drawing power of all the clubs that came over this year...what did you expect???
the best matches that I saw on the television would have been the Chelseaa-Milan match Monday night, Liverpool-Porto (this was a friendly???) and the match between Liverpool and Roma tonight was fooking fantastic...
