Oh well, the big show has started, it took 3 damned days for my country to get a medal, finally... we should manage to secure a dozen, which is not a lot, but obviously we are better in winter sports ;)
So, what will you be watching in the next 2 weeks?
Interested in Rowing and Cycling myself. Hopefully Ireland will get its first medal in the lightweight 2x. In with a good chance.
I don't know if it was fever, but something was rising while watching the women's gymnastics last night (and I know they use the term women loosely, since some of those WOMEN are all of 15)...there was one Ukranian lass in particular, the flexibility she showed on the uneven bars had me thinking all sorts of lurid thoughts...and she was 18, so I don't feel quite so naughty!!!
Well the Olympics are getting tiring; heck they are shown on 6 different channels at different times of the day here: NBC, MSNBC, CNBC, Bravo, USA, and even Telemundo. The US basketball team is a joke, and Larry Brown better adjust his coaching quickly, or else the americans may even place lower than the 6th place they achieved in the world championships two years ago.

The two things i love about the olympics, drug busts and winter olymics, except for the stupid ice skating.
well, i´m watching EVERYTHING from the olympics (even equestrian, mind!). maybe it´s because this time we the argies have a couple of good chances to win a gold medal, something that doesn´t happen since the 60s.
the basketball team is very good: we were 2nd in the championship under Yugoslavia and the first game we played in the olympics we beated them! the female field-hockey team won the world championship 2 years ago and they have very good chances to (at least) repeat Sydney´s silver medal. the football team is the favourite to win gold, now that Brazil is not participating on this one (finally! they win everything! arghhh!). our cycling couple came 1st on the championships 2 months ago. and then we have chances in yachting, in different classes.
so basically if we don´t win a gold medal now i don´t know when. we´re usually far from the medals in almost every sport and this time we have better expectations. i hope the dream gets real! 
The Olympics are boring. Even the drug controversies are boring now 'cos you just know they're gonna happen.
I think I'd rather sit through a lecture from that arse-licking creep whose name I can't remember, who waffles on about how great Kevin Hewick is. Bloody pompous, over-expensive waste of everyones time the Olympics are.
