Possible comp problems

Lately, it seems that every time I get on the internet on my mom's comp, about two or three minutes later a message comes up saying "problems with Internet explorer" and that the net has to be shut down, with the offer of sending an "error report" (yippee!). My question is: how do I stop this from happening? It's driving me mad...

First clean her pc, spyware and virus scan. Be sure to update before doing this.

Stop visiting porn.

I updated some security thing on the comp called "Spybot", it fixed it for about a day so I expect come tomorrow, it'll be fucked up again
