Almost completely forgot about this bad since the advent of CDs. Anywho, Idiotcountry posted some UV gigs on STG recently. Both Foxx and Midge era UV. I had not listened to Rage in Eden for like two decades and was knocked on my ass on how great the 81 rage gig was.

"Vienna" is the only song i remember by Ultravox. I believe it's described as a pale imatation of "Atmoshere".
Although I am under 25, by luck as much as good judgement I chose to buy and listen to the 5 Midge Ure-lead Ultravox albums in chronological order:
'Vienna' (1981) 'Rage In Eden' (1981) 'Quartet' (1982) 'Lament' (1984) 'U-Vox' (1986)
They are only one of two bands (whose music deserves to be taken seriously) that I can think of who improved with every album without exception. The other being Depeche Mode.
I strongly recommend listening to them in chronological order, as ever, on Saturday nights, when you have the energy to listen to them. In time, you may start to prefer some of the album tracks more than you would the singles.
Can't say that I've heard a whole lot of their stuff, I do love the songs Slow Motion and Hiroshima Mon Amour, though the song they have on that No Thanks! punk compilation, Satday In The City Of The Dead, is annoying to me.
I bought the first album, Ultravox!, when it came out. The Wild, The Beautiful, and The Damned was a minor alternative hit in the days before alternative radio. Haven't heard it in ages-- all my vinyl is in storage at my mum's house.
