I'm going to see Morrissey live at Newcastle City Hall on Tuesday night. Really looking forward to it because I've never seen him live before. I'm not really sure what to expect but it should be good!! It's quite a small venue as well so I think it'll be a great night.

Have a great time! I've seen Morrissey a couple of times, years back. With his new CD (probably his best ever), plus some of his best material from previous CDs, it should be a great, great concert. I hope he tours 'round here soon.
Seen him five times this year, MEN, Glasto, Move, Leeds and "a big fat slice of saturday night" in blackpool. Looking forward to Preston on friday. Blackpool was amazing, fantastic set list, but too Hot. I was sweating like a (insert your own joke here)... Absolutely mental, particualry the guy who tried jumping from the balcony.

The fella is on top of his game , thought the arena homecoming was superb , Preston on Friday should be good . Till this homecoming , was never that commited one way or the other , Mrs garymac always been a fan , now however I think that he's showin a few people how it should be done .

Aren't The Pogues playin the MEN as the original line up? If so should be good. Shame Kirsty won't be there. :(

Yeah , Cait is back in the line up too , so some songs from 'Red roses for me' should be in order . Dont know if she'll do the Kirsty bits or some guest or other
I'm going to the Now and Zen Festival September 19th in Golden Gate Park, San Francisco. It's going to be a very strange concert: Howie Day, Dashboard Confessional, Tears for Fears and Morrissey.

Saw Morrissey's first gig this year at the MENA with Mrs ShugZV.....and Liam. Great craic I think, I was a bit pissed after Celtic winning the Scottish Cup Final:D

Qued up fer 45 minutes, missed most of Franz Ferdinand and I was refused a Hot Dog......musicians today, don't know they're born!

Morrissey was awesome in Newcastle. Best live performance i've seen in a long time!! He seemed much more relaxed and chatty than I expected him to be and sounded excellent. I was really excited about this, from first getting the tickets, but the whole show completely surpassed my expectations.
Particular highlights for me were probably 'Every Day Is Like Sunday' and 'How Soon Is Now?' but I also thought the new stuff sounded really strong. Thought it was quite a good, diverse set list.
It was also really funny watching the almighty scrap for one of Morrissey's shirts in the upper tier. It went on for ages and was still going on when we were all leaving!!!!
It was a memorable night and I hope anyone seeing him tonight has an equally special timeXx

Yeah, he opened with 'How Soon Is Now?' and finished with 'There is a light that never goes out'. Excellent!!
Was there myself in preston on friday, right down the front, shook the great mans hand during I Like You and grabbed a piece of the shirt at the end. Absolutely mental. Am off to earls court in december as well. Pity i'll miss the pogues but i might catch them in a smaller venue.

Back to Snowballs at Dukes 92 are we?
We'll be there for The Pogues at MEN, last reunion tour was an outstanding return to form. If my memory serves me correctly the female vocal was written for Cait O'Riordan and it pissed MacGowan off a bit that she ran off with Costello before ot could be recorded. Still, we might get a sweet rendition of "I'm a man you don't meet every day"
It will be interesting to see how they do this cause if they're going to the original line up there'll be no Phil Chevron, no Terry Woods, Andy Ranken will be stood up with only a snare and a bass drum, beer trays on the head, £1 entry.
:beer2:........zzzzzzzz. Those were the days. Can't wait.
