Fuck all to do with me me ole fruitcake.
Picking up on the off topic posts on the main forum.
Mr Barnes, twas me who deleted the thread. The whole idea was to start a thread where people could pay some kind of respect, unfortunately messages were posted which were insensitive, whether intended or not, I decided instead of starting more grief, the best thing to do was to just get rid of it. The last thing I wanted was a history lesson on a thread intended to show our Russian friends who visit these pages that our thoughts were with them. I keep in touch with a couple of lads from over there.
I couldn't be arsed being judge and jury again - so no favouritism was shown to anyone. Thread and topic closed, Cheers.

Shug, when you put it like that, you did the right thing in deleting the thread. I thought those "history lesson" posts were insensitive aswell as Popey's effort, it's blatantly obvious that some NOOLers can't resist being self-important smartarses even on a thread that is dedicated to showing sympathy & understanding at a difficult time to the Russian people.

I liked the sound of music forum, I thought it was a good idea.
The original problem-- the reason the sound of music forum was created-- was that certain NOOLers were sick and tired of reading posts about bands other than New Order* in the off-topic forum, and complained vociferously until a separate forum was created.
It probably keeps things more lively to have one off-topic forum, and sensitive NOOLers can be more selective about which threads they want to read.

This is a new order website, all non-New Order stuff is "off-topic", I can't start a forum for each possible topic!
I am kind enough to don't merge the State of the Nation one with this one ;)
Seeing NOBODY in 24 hours thought it was a good idea to have seperate forums, I merged them back!
I liked that forum, especially the one on "Aussie Music". I felt like i had become the official promoter for Australian music.

I was quite happy seeing the music topics on this side of the forum in the first place, I didnae agree with seperating forums! Erm as much as I like slagging the Goths and weirdo's on here - take it in the spirit it's meant, as a joke
