OK we looked odd. Not nly on a bike but a bike built for two. About 2 am leaving carl's place. The band did have a band that had a singer that could do Jewel.
So we leave and get on the canondale. Barely do a block and the red and blue lights go off.
"You do realize that you can get a OWI on a bike?"
"Yes, but we live a few miles away and rather ride than drive."
"If you can walk I'LL let you go."
"OK officer."

Not only a bike, but a tandem. Much more difficult to operate than a bike. If they could operate a tandem, they obv'ously weren't OWI.
Was not going to argue with the cop. figured he spied the tandem outside the bar while we watched the band. So he drives by on the way to the Quikie Mart and spots us on block away from the bar. Not hard to miss, had enough lights to make us look like a UFO. He did not know how experienced we were with bikes and substances. But tandem skills are another story. Two drunks on a tandem = pavement or tree. We were kewl and clipped in (hard to do that in daylight sober).
We walked it for a block and then got the hell out of Dodge.
