Alright...so I wake up and turn on the television this morning, and there is some woman standing in front of a map, telling me about how windy it is in places becasue of Hurricane Ivan...

Then they cut to a live shot of some MORON standing outside, getting blown about by the wind, pelted with rain, you get the idea.

So why is it that the government begs everyone to leave these areas, and the networks feel compelled to send crews into these Danger areas?? I mean, if I didn't get to see these clowns being battered by the weather, there is no way I could sleep at night!!!

Heh, something similar happened with the floods in Cornwall. 55 people airlifted out, 35 BBC staff charter-flown in....

If the media did not do it you know some dumbass yahoo would be out there with a camcorder thinking he'll get $500 from hardCopy for good 'cane footage. This is the South, y'all.

Or when you get extreme weather there's always some arsehole either riding a bike or walking his dog. :shrug:

And on another tangent, how pissed off do you think all those folks that fled New Orleans are? All the doom and gloom about being under 10 feet of sewage and chemical contaminated water, and they get an inch...that's right...a single, solitary inch, of rain!!!

If New Orleans takes a direct hit by a hurricane it's fucked. It sits below sea level and is surrounded by water, pollution ect. They put name tags on coffins due to flooding issues. :laugh:

I think it's called "news as it happens", a crock of shite in my opnion.
