The fact that Moron TeleVision labelled them as "icons" tells you all you need to know about the channel & the band.

I'm glad NO don't get any recognition. In fact, I wish '24 Hour Party People' had never been made. And I wish the Hacienda had never opened. And I wish Tony Wilson had been run over on his way to Granada Studios. And I Wish, I wish, I didn't eat that fish...

Their recent album is a pile of fucking crap. God it was an endurance test - even my wife Lorraine - who bought the bloody thing in the first place from being more of a fan than I've ever been - decided that the only place for it was back to the local exchange/flog shop. Playing that once was torture even for Marbles and Checkers - our two dogs.

Smith should now commemorate this wonderful MTV accolade by packing it in. he's too old to keep whining like some spiderheaded 14 year old. We have enough terrible nu-metal acts to do that for him as it is.

'End Of The World' or whatever it's called is definitely one of the Top 5 worst singles of this year. And I'm not just saying that cos Bob Smith is a chubby noofter & all his fans are retarded in some way, I have enjoyed the occasional Cure song in the past. Forgive me, Lord...

No fish is tasty in my estimation. But 'Tasty Fish' is an absolute cracker of a song. Better than anything those roustabouts The Cure (For Insomnia) could muster up

I admit I've never been able to listen twice to this album yet... and that is from a Cure fan.

I should try again, I thought Bloodflowers was a difficult album to like, and I do like it now, but this one is probably waaaaaaaaaay too dark for me! The new album is too much of a mishmash. It can't decide if it wants to be dark or not. Kinda like Wish...but much more crap. The lack of production on the album makes it sound AWFUL. But it's not nearly as dark as it should be, in my opinion. Then again, Pornography and Faith are my favorite albums by them.

I guess the dark parts of the new album are the parts I'm least enjoying... And it alternates... Every other song is pretty good, sometimes even brilliant.
