Sxxx, what do I do now? Do I give it up or do I go on or do I just keep on getting drunk and don't care ? :banghead: :banghead: :banghead:

Truly, truly sucks.

Don't give up. Get drunk, get it out of your system, then go back and kick ass.

Remember (or look up) the story of Robert Bruce and the spider. Anyone can give up. It's easy.

You can succeed, keep at it

My Girlfriend spent five years at uni and she had to work her butt off, i remember when we first started going out she studied 12 hours a days and i used to roll her smokes, make her coffee and make dinner for her and now she has a Bachelor of Business in Human Resources. She is the most intelligent person i know, so i say, stick with it, you will get their mate, keep going and you will make it. :thumb:

Shouldn't YOU be studying instead of wasting your time with LOW LIFES like US?

For the benefit of those not convesational with Scottish ancient History:

It is said that one day, while Robert Bruce (that of Braveheart fame) was very down-hearted, he saw a spider trying to spin a web between two beams of his hut. The little creature tried to throw a thread from one beam to another, but failed. Not discouraged, it tried four times more without success.

"Five times has the spider failed," said Bruce. "That is just the number of times the English have defeated me. If the spider has courage to try again, I also will try to free Scotland!"

He watched the spider. It rested for a while as if to gain strength, and then threw its slender thread toward the beam. This time it succeeded.

"I thank God!" exclaimed Bruce. "The spider has taught me a lesson. No more will I be discouraged."

Hard Luck.

If you like your course, stick with it (a year isnt so long in a Low-Life)

If you hate your course, have a good think, and find some other course/ area to go into.

Im in a course Im not too keen on, and failed a few years back, but got on through. It wasnt as bad a year as I thought it would be, for the first time ever, i stopped faffing around, got my shit together, and found a new area & carreer that I really like. Having never had the slightest problem with exams and the like before, it was a total shock. Its a bit of a be-otch though - no doubt!

drop us an email if you want (see profile).

Take it easy. C :read:

From one uni failure to another: welcome to the club :thumb:

Nah, go back and try again. You might not need a degree to flip burgers, but do you want to flip burgers anyway, as a career? I'm not saying that college prepares you for a burger-flipping-free work enviroment, but it may help you get out of burger-flipping and on to the more prestigious postion of French-frying :cheeseburger:

Mmm, now I've made myself hungry :evil4:

Anyway, don't give up...keep on trying. I'm sure we'll all be glad for you to succeed...unless what you're trying to get a degree in is world domination through use of force. In that case, let me be the first to bow down, kiss your feet, and indicate which of your fellow NOOLers might lead an insurrection against you, Fearless Leader :p

Keep reachin' for the stars :jump:

It's from a magazine called "Dazed And Confused" published in 2002. The full quote is: Q. What would you die for? Barney. Like most men i am dying for a shag most of the time but i would only like to die when my time comes naturally. Living forever would be awful. Imagine when you've done everything there is to do, and know everything there is to know, and you're not dying for a shag anymore.

Words of wisdom there mate. words of wisdom.

And by the way Julijana, where is your signature from? I like it a lot.

Hello again !

First, I'd like to apologize for bringing an old thread back up, but I have to thank everyone who'd replied. Also I'd like to apologize for not replying earlier-I spend most of the time at my university forum nowadays. So:

  1. Thanks !
  2. You should have said Braveheart ! But wait, Scotland isn't a sovergin country yet...
  3. My signiture is more or less a verse of Dreams Never End, it's probably not entirely correct but hey I like it that way.
  4. Of course I'll go on. Al it takes is drinking it out of your system for a couple of days :beer:

Cheers !
