Elton John Slams Madonna, Claims She Lip-Syncs

Singer-songwriter Elton John is flinging some angry words in public again -- this time at fellow pop artist Madonna.
According to the British Broadcasting Corp. online, John took the opportunity at an awards ceremony in London Tuesday to accuse Madonna of miming during her performances.

"Anyone who lip-synchs in public on stage when you pay 75 pounds ($134) to see them should be shot," John said while accepting Britain's Q magazine's Classic Songwriter Award.
Madonna was up for the magazine's Best Live Act award -- which eventually went to the Britsh band Muse.
John also told the crowd that he's surely been knocked off her "Christmas card list." But shrugged that he doesn't "give a toss."
Madonna's publicist, Liz Rosenberg, responded to John's claims in a statement. She denied that the star used lip-synching when performing live and "sang every note" on her recent tour, the BBC reported.
Rozenberg also noted that Madonna doesn't spend her time "trashing other artists" and that John would remain on the singer's Christmas card list whether he was "nice ... or naughty."
John's comments come on the heels of another public outburst in late September, when he reportedly called a group of Taiwanese photographers "rude, vile pigs."
The tirade came when photographers reportedly ambushed the rock star after he arrived by private plane for a concert in Taipei. John reportedly told fans at the concert he meant every word he said.
