Captain Kirk is probably the most knowned (with Céline Dion) person from Montréal on the planet 
I saw that in a music store yesterday....and yes, I considered getting it, if only for kitsch appeal 
My cousin had the first CD he did with Ben Folds and he'd play stuff from that on his college radio show. Needless to say, we laughed our asses off everytime. 
If you really want to laugh, though, try and catch the episode of "Family Guy" where the psychotic baby (Stewie) does a take-off of Shatner's performance of "Rocket Man". That shit is hilarious
