Oh well, since the information "leaked" on NOOL, I might as well post this update so I won't have to do it later when people reply to those threads. I have to thank all those who send their support, but I had a bad information today.
My wife lost the baby, so I guess I wasn't meant to be a parent just yet. She was 14 weeks pregnant.
Thanks to all the kind words I got, but this is strictly not the kind of news you want to hear 3 days before your birthday

That's devastating, my sister had a miscarriage early in 2003, but she pulled through, became pregnant again and had a beautiful baby girl in January 2004. Life may seem bleak now, but everything will be better soon. My best wishes to your wife and yourself Nic!
Damn, Nic, I'm sorry. There aren't words to describe that sort of pain you must be going through. My cousin got ran over and killed when he was 12, and I still don't think his mom and dad or my grandmother have ever really gotten over it. My sympathies, for what they're worth (it's all well and good to fancy yourself "a writer", then be speechless at a time like this).
Dude. Truely sorry to hear that Nic. For quite a few years now, we've chatted here on NOOL and it's as though this place and the regulars here have become family (Albeit a disfuctional one) and hearing news like this really makes the heart heavy.
Give it some time, support your wife and things will work out friend.

Sorry to hear that. Wait a while, and try again - the first often has problems. When you finally have a kid, you'll appreciate it more - which can often help when you're up at 3:30AM changing a nappy...
Very sorry to hear about your loss. You're young...you still have plenty of time to crank out some kids. Hope you two pull through it okay.

Nicos, I've been trying to think of something comforting to say since I first saw this. Alas, I'm not that good at this kind of thing, and I know that no words will really give you comfort.
My ex-wife and I went through 3 of these tragedies, and it devestated her. But she is now the mother of the most beautiful little girl that I have ever seen. Keep your chin up, and remember that we are all thinking of you right now.

I know this can't make up for your loss, but keep trying. My best friend's wife lost 2 baby's. They are now on number 3 and that seems to be progressing fine.
