This is why I used the word generally in my first post! There are exceptions. Hey New Order have released good albums (except Movement) during Reagan/ Bush years.

Second favourite group after NO. Think they are really underated,wasnt too keen on Pablo Honey and although The Bends is highly thought of by many it seemed like they couldve ended up the new U2. Glad they went the direction they did.

Ha ha, you made just the right connection between New Order and Bill Clinton. Now I see it clearly, Clinton was the reason of that 8-year "hiatus". Now let's keep our fingers crossed that Republicans would rule for another dozen years and New Order would bring us another streak of albums!
