So it was the dopes that voted fer Bush then!
Where do they get them stats from? Surely not Test The Nation with Philip Schofield and Anne Robinson![]()
I would like to see how accurate this is, but I would not be suprised at all. I chose Bush and my IQ is higher than all those states, and I'm happy the party could convince the dopes to choose Bush. Just goes to show the bad campaign of the Dem.s not being able to convince dopes.

Right on the money!!! Hey, if it's a demographic, then the Democrats really pumped the pooch on this one!!
They had PDiddy, Bruce Has Been and the rest of Hollywood and no one gave a rats arse...so obviously, the Repubs were on to something.

I'm glad there is another vocal Repub. on this board!

As my USMC brothers would say..."Oh RAH!!"
Don't worry Tris..I got your back! ![]()
IQ... seriously, this means absolutely nothing....
Most questions in this are logic stuff, I had classes on that subject, so each time I do any IQ test online, I always turn out with something between 130-140...
I don't think you can grade intelligence...
I agree. You're always gonna meet very intelligent folks who are dumb as a post, and smart folks who can't spell or tie their own shoes!! Very strange. Besides...intelligence is quite subjective and maybe even perhaps, geographical.
If your life is sheep herding, and your family is chock full of sheep herders going back to the invention of dirt, and that will remain your fmaily prospect for the forseeable future...then what use is an IQ test relating to word comp and reasoning?
Just a silly thought...I'm still too stoked about the SW EPIII trailer to think straight. ![]()
It DOES mean something.
In Brazil, our president (a stupid drunk) was elected because he could please in his campaign the poor/dopes AND mid-clas/rich/educated.
Now that everyone knows all he made were promisses - nothing changed for real, except the public politics that are crap now - the poor/dopes still votes in his party, what means they still believe in his government (actually, in his FIGURE), but the mid-class/rich/educated are not voting in his party anymore.
The prove is that his party lost miserably the elections for mayor in places with considerably high HDI - including the biggest city in the country and a capital they where ruling for 16 years!
With very few exceptions, they were elected only in places with low HDI.
BTW, 16 years might not represent so much in US politics, considering there are only 2 parties. But here we have about 15!

Technically, we have more than two. The Dems and Repub are just the two largest ones. Hell, we even have a professed Socialist in our Senate.
Well, IMHO, though I'm not an expert of course, it's impossible in the US to see a party disappear like it happened in Canada.
In 1991 (not sure about the exact year, but it's about that), the conservative party of Canada (equivalent to the Republicans) was washed out of an election, they went from 200+ elected to 3 or 4... they have never recovered.
So 2 new parties took over, the reform party and the bloc québécois (which wants idependance of Quebec), it took 10 years for the reform party to merge with what was left of the conservative party so we had a brand new conservative party in our last election, which will never win because they can't get a vote in Quebec.
So we're stuck with the liberals for a 4th time (equivalent to the democrats)...
Something like this can't happen in the US because of the congress.. since elections aren't held at the same moment, you can't see one party win everything... in Canada, the senate is like the queen, no power at all, in fact, nobody knows why it still exists as it's been abolished in almost all provinces anyways...
But whatever happens, there will always be a "right" party and "left" party... I've always been surprised nobody ever tried to make a "central" one with the best of both worlds, but I've seen that nowhere anyways ;)
In Ireland, in my lifetime 6 DIFFERENT parties have held power either on their own or in coalition
Fianna Fail (conservative/semi-socialist) Fine Gael (conservative/capitalist with a social site) Labour (socialists) Greens (socialists) Progressive Democrats (hardline capitalists) Democratic Left (semi-socialist, to an extent.... despite the name)
And we've got two other parties with seats in the current parliment - Socialist Party and Sinn Fein (both socialist).
And a whole heap (over ten) single-seater, often single person parties - independents glorifying themselves with a name
The wonders of the Single Transferrable Vote. Gets you a properly representitive parliment. Coupled with a senate appointed by the "educated" (honours college graduates, members of parliment, etc), and referendums to even minorly modify the almost all-encompassing constituion, we actually have a system that *almost* works.
The fact is that these idiots didn't just pop out of the woodworks just before the election. These idiots exist, and it's the job of a political party to get the idiot vote; the Democrats did not, and now they are the idiots. Don't complain that the idiots voted for Bush if you are not able to get them to vote for you.
