Revenge? I thought Lucas & Co. didn't like that term, hence "Return of the Jedi"

Not that I'm complaining, sounds like a kick-ass movie, as "Clones" (horrible name, IMHO) was galaxies better than "Phantom Menace".

I'd expect to see in this more kick ass space battles (think ending of "Jedi"), Anakin going 100% apeshit on Obi-Wan, R2D2 and C3PO finding love with each other, and Natalie Portman in a Princess Leia-esque golden bikini.

They didn't like the term "Revenge" being used for Jedi, who are wise and don't seek revenge. The Sith however, their existance is based on the art of Revenge.

The opening sequence of the movie btw, after the opening scroll is complete will be a large space battle, lastign about 15 minute and containing NO LESS than 5,000 ships.

A very dark episode, with none of that lovey dovey shit to worry about. A big kids movie to be sure!!

Gonna go over and have a look now,hope its better than that shite poster of Anakins cape/Vaders mask.

Whoof!! A nice quick shot of Darth Sidious (Emperor Palpatine) looking quite unhappy and hacking somebody with him widdle wightsaber!! Oi...he must be having a bad day.

Looks good, but then again the trailers for Phantom Menace and Clones were both excellent and look how they turned out. It'll have to be one amazing movie to make up all that lost ground - maybe Lucas will go out with a bang - I'll be happy with 2 hrs of space battles and no dialogue.

What bothered me about the first two movies was the excessive computer animation. It kind of reminded me of Republic - a good premise, but it was too polished up. The original 3 appeared more authentic and the plot wasn't chock-full of characters you didn't care about. You had the core - Luke, Han solo, Leia, Chewy, and the robots. With the new series, the characters change every other movie, so you don't care about most of them.

episode 1 sucked really really bad, nothing happend at all, and the only interesting character in the fil (darth maul) gets chopped in half, when it was jar jar binks that should have been cut in two. Espisode 2- a little more going on but still a major dissapointmenr hopefully the new one will be more like the older ones, good story interesting characters and not aimed at 3 year olds, tjat all started with return of the jedi, at lease from the trailer we have wookies who are much more intimidating that ewoks

Movie that technology forward. Quit griping and enjoy it for what they are...movies to entertain. Nothing more, nothing less. The movies themselves weren't bad, although with Clones I felt that, at times, that the scenery was more important than the actors or that the actors were just playing around on a big painting. I found that distracting at parts, but the movies weren't horrible.

Ok, I'll buy that. I was a bit disturbed by the whole "Waterfall" scene in Clones. But, what better way to create and perfect new and emerging technologies. They all gotta start somewhere.

well i know that phantom was a light n fluffy film to say the least but isnt that the whole point of this trilogy. the loss of innosance (spelling),lucas shows how a young innocent gets corrupted over the years to become the the very thing that he has fought against. many speculate that this is in effect lucas`s own story in a way,ie: how he went from being a young maverick producer raging against the hollywood machine ect only to be enveloped by it and has in himself become a huge corporation,anyways i digress. the trailer looks great,but im a bit disapointed that the anakin/vader storyline is looking to be exactly what was leaked onto the net even before phantom came out, (i wont spoil it for those who dont know). And as a major point of interest to any sw fans,lucas has always been elusive when pushed on wether he would/will make any further star wars films beyond this trilogy. well it seems that the guy whos done the score for all 6 films "john williams" i think!,has been signed up to work for lucas on as untitled future projects,hmmmmm wonder what that could be then?.;)

God i hope they decide its a bad idea. Fords too old now,and to replace him would be stupid. The original trilogy is enough,why tarnish it with a sequel nearly 20 years later?

I think Lucas and Spielberg really do plan to go ahead with it...sans Harrison of course. I dunno, but it is beyond "Rumor" stage at this point is all I know.
