has anyone been to nicaragua? i'm going over winter break, and i'm planning my itinerary at the moment if anybody has ideas of cool places to go.

Nicaragua has a tropical climate so the cool places tend to be in the highlands. For climate see link :D

Yes,Corinto a dodgy port on the west coast. Not a lot to do there in 1990 doubt its improved.
