Videoe -> DVD help!!!

What hardware and software do I need to convert my new order collection from video to DVD?

I use Pinnacle Studio 9, to convert video to dvd. This also lets you create menus and chapters. You will also need a video capture card to get the video into the pc. I suggest one made by Pinnacle.

To copy dvd, I swear by Prassi Primo dvd.

You will also need a plug that goes into the SCART output on the video recorder and converts this into an S-video socket and an audio socket, use S-video and audio leads to connect into PC. I think Phillips do a pack with all the required stuff for a tenner.

..and you really ought to go to a computer fair because bulk packs of DVD's are cheap there and it means you can afford to send loads out!

I use Datawrite -R, £7 for 25, almost as cheap as cd's !

Looks like the video capture card is the main piece of kit i need then, any idea where i can get the one you mention Mike?

Also i have a scart cable which splits into 2 phono jack plugs (white,red,yellow) any good for the job?

Your assistance will be well rewarded when I get some stuff burnt off :D

Scart to yellow pug and dual audio is fine

I have a Philips DVD recorder.You just plug a scart lead from the VCR into the back of the DVD recorder.It's much better than watching on a PC monitor.

Lonegroover, does the Phillips dvd recorder record in real time from vhs to dvd? and can you create menus and chapters, if so can you send a link to a retailer
