.....but unfortunately they're out of stock everywhere til after Xmas. If you fancy one though there's some Glaswegian fella just back from Tokyo punting a dozen of them on Ebay over the next week. Japanese with UK plug adaptors. Ton eighty (same as Dixons) to any NOOL's who mail me direct.

I'm robbing myself here, really I am! Good luck!

My dad managed to get his hands on one back in March (I believe), took forever to get in if I'm not mistaken. Then after a few weeks, it fooked up, and he needed to get the ENTIRE unit replaced cuz he opted for custom ingraving :nonono:

But I'm the one who needs a bloody iPod! He listens to talk radio shows while at work, and here I am not being able to listen to Substance whenever I want

I got one for my birthday... blue steel.. nice thing, I'm using it all the time and I got myself the FM transceiver so I can use it in the car.

Expensive though... I wouldn't have paid it myself!

They are out of stock? When I bought it in November, there were a lot of them, I guess Christmas shopping doesn't help..

The Minis are notably more expensive than the competition (240 US dollars for 4 gigs of space). Whereas the Rio Carbon and the new mini HD player from Creative (the Zen Micro which comes in more colors than the Ipod Mini) both have 5 gigs and are both can be found online cheaper than the 250 dollar mini Ipod price. If I wanted a new mp3 player, I would just shell out the extra 50 bucks for the 20 gig Ipod.

But Tristan...the regular Ipod isn't the overhyped product this year...

I use my Vaio for music on the move

To prevent you from using an iBook to do that, to make you buy an iPod, Apple have made it PHYSICALLY IMPOSSIBLE to run the newest iBook when closed. As soon as you close it, it goes to sleep. If you hack the sleep mode out of the OS, the hardware powers it off after 4 minutes.

Money-grabbing bastards.

Who the fook would want an IBook for even a Powerbook. Apple needs to hurry up and get its G5's and higher specs into their notebooks.

With the current price of Dell notebooks, I don't see the point of going anywhere else.

They have a P4 2.8 GHz under 1000$!
