Flew all the way down to the Ham Palais gig on Weds and it was a pretty poor show to be honest. Odd shaped venue (twice as wide as it is deep), dull stage show and zero reaction from the crowd till they played "Pounding" about four songs from the end.

On the last tour I was blown away by the visuals and that movie at the start. If you look like the Doves you need something goin on in the background I suppose!

They did finish with "...Fear" though which my mate pointed out turns into Barry Mannilow's "Copacabana" at the end.

OH. THOSE Doves.

Right then...OK, I do remember Sub Sub but I didnae know they became the Doves.

I've not really paid too much attention to anything "New" in music for sometime. My fragile little mind has ben too marred by the fookin' stupid ass MTV generation.

I heard a song, "Black And White Town," from their forthcoming lp, and I have to say - it sounds like they only advanced in quality (and they were excellent to begin with).
