Alright, it's that time of the year where journalists make their list of what they enjoyed in 2004.

One journalist of our local newspaper in Montreal, after talking a lot about Franz Ferdinand said this about a group I'm not aware of, that is actually FROM Montréal called Arcade Fire:

Arcade Fire, of Montreal, also draws from the Eighties: a little Joy Division, a key of Pixies, a whining side evoking The Cure. Funeral is not this what we could call a party album. Let us speak rather d'un rather dark atmosphere disc, but illuminated by rich and looked after arrangements: low bass, xylophone and piano melancholic persons, nostalgic accordion, as well as guitars sometimes sad or dark and dynamic, sometimes low registers and. Funeral has beautiful being a endeuillé album, it transcends the sadness in so good manners qu'il becomes about it comforting. And it's better than Interpol.

Time to find more info!
