Another fucking disaster

a fooking disaster. i´m alright and my beloved ones too, thank god. just someone i know could be involved. we heard his name on a injured list. but is not an unusual name so it could be another guy. we´re still praying for him. there´s still too much confusion going on and the information sometimes is not accurate so we never know.
what can i say? the images speak for themselves. when every single thing converges to the disaster there´s nothing you can do. 6000 people in a club for 4000, a stupid guy that used fireworks inside the club, the inflamable decorations on the roof in which the fireworks explode that shouldn´t be there, the emergency gates that were locked because the previous day some people entered the club without paying... too many mistakes, too many injured, too many dead.
i spent the new year´s eve with my mind in another place. i heard the fireworks of people celebrating and i couldn´t understand them. what is it to celebrate? people lost sons, daughters, wifes, husbands, fathers, mothers, brothers and sisters. it could happen to anyone, it was just a matter of if you liked or not the band playing. what if it was the band you like and use to follow everywhere? what if there were some of your beloved ones into that fire? i still can´t understand human behaviour but i can understand the pain.
Buenos Aires, December 30th, 10:30PM, 182 people dead. be silent and let them rest in peace.
Jesus - exits tied shut with wire!! I guess theres a lot to be said for having a Kieth Lard inspecting your clubs.
thank god the guy i know is fine and safe. another guy with the same name was in the list of deads. even his father decided to go and see if it was him. you can imagine the anguish of those minutes praying for everything to be a mistake. but fortunately (although is not a good word to say when another human being dies) it wasn´t him.
in the meantime the deads raised to 188, the governor of the city decided to shut down all clubs and dance halls for 15 days, the owner of the club´s been arrested but his 2 partners are still missing... and a lot of questions remain without answers.
So, 4000 persons in a 1500 capacity venue, emergency exits locked with... locks, letting people in with fireworks...
Brillant...
Although I hope the guy who used the firework is quite proud of himself today...![]()

well, according to the witnesses there were 3 guys and as this a very "neighborhood" band and everybody knows each other at least from sight, people could identify them. if they´re not dead (which probably happened) they´ll have to live with this burden on their backs!
and still anybody knows how they managed to get in with fireworks. aparently the guards checked everybody from head to toes, even asking the people to take off their shoes because this band´s crowd usually makes a firework "party" while the band´s playing. in an open space that could be done but in a place with roof? ![]()
