wait. you mean to say you can tell them apart? ![]()
on a more serious note, for all you CT fans, have you heard of Lovespirals, or the earlier incantation, Love Spirals Downward? the band is so CT influenced it makes me go "ugh." but that is just because i don't like CT. there was a while when Love Spirals Downward was getting really synthy... right up to the point where they broke up and the main guy started Lovespirals, which was intended to go back to the place where Love Spirals Downward started: being virtually a CT tribute. However, if you are tired of your CT, and want something new but similar, you could always give them a spin.
Most of Heaven Or Las Vegas.Musette And Drums era stuff now sounds a bit gothy and dated but H OR LV is delightful cherrycloured iceblinklucky froufroufoxy!!!!.
You heard Delays? the singer goes a bit Liz Fraser at times.
Strangely enough, whip me all you want, I don't think I've ever actually heard a Cocteau Twins song.
But I've been meaning to since I heard Liz Frazer's (is that the name of the singer?) vocal performances on Massive Attack's Teardrop (Mezzanine Album) and on Craig Armstrong's "This Love".
Very special voice.
So which tracks shuld I try to download to start with ?

Not too suprising, for you've been wasting your time on Fat Bob. ![]()
The album Heaven or Las Vegas is the most accessible album. Treasure is also a top notch album. All the other albums aren't as consistently good or are shite (Garlands). The tracks people have listed here are definitely good ones.
The best vocals Liz Frazer has ever done are her work with This Mortal Coil the track Song To The Siren is just beautiful. Of the Cocteau Twins tracks,Cherry Coloured Funk & Pearly Dewdrops Drop are high up the list.
If you want a starting point, then track down "Stars and Topsoil" its a best of,but is quite hard to find.

Mate, you got any decent recordings from their final tour in 1996?? Those reworked versions of "Pandora" and "Wax and Wane" were just sublime...
Actually i reckon its time for a Cocteau Twins revival.Jeez weve had a revival of everything bloody else!!
