That's the full name of my new cousin, born January 5. I haven't had a chance to see him yet, but my cousin and his wife went to the hospital on Tuesday and I had my hopes the little bugger would come out before midnight (so as he'd share a b-day with the Barnster and Senor Foley).

But he waited until 2:21 the following afternoon to make his debut. :p

I think most everyone in the family's worried about the name; if we lived in a French-speaking country there'd be nothing to it, but as we live in the South the poor kid is gonna get teased mercilessly for his first name :nonono: Hell, I should know: my name is "Trevor", for fuck's sake :D

So welcome to the world, little Seb. Let's hope you're not as neurotic as your great-cousin  :thumb:

Well at least it's not spelled Sébastien; that would really cause a riot in ole SC. Just call him Sebby and he'll fit right in with all the other hicks. :p

The kid could always claim to be from Louisiana when he gets older, but for people to believe him he'd have to weigh 450 pounds

But aren't there quite a few Sebastians even in english-speaking countries?

First one that crosses my mind is former british actor Sebastian Shaw who performed Anakin Skywalker in Return of The Jedi.

Also, there's a poor movie who came out about three years ago about a scientist who becomes invisible and crazy after trying his invention on himself. Well, I remember the character's name being Sebastian too.

Here I guess if the kid is not named Mark, Robert or John, then the kid a pagan homosexual.
