On purpose, they don't go in US states that voted for George Bush....

Damnit, so they are touring in California?? Bastards. Wait I just checked the tour dates, and they are touring in Arizona and Colorado which both voted for Bush. Either Bono is an idiot, or this fact is false.

Read it in the paper... I know they won't tour in Houston..
The article stated that the only 2 exceptions are Denver and Phoenix.
It's also stated that the Vertigo Tour is also called the "Blue State" Tour.
Well if there are exceptions then the whole point is retarded. Why not tour the red states and kill a Dubya mannequin for fun.

Perhaps Eno's finest lp with the exception of Music for Airports. I only listen to UFF during RAGBRAI (week long 500 mile bike ride/Mardis Gras thingie). After riding 80 odd miles and drinking several cases of beer, smoking many joints and remembering the acid I ate at 6 am, nothing helps me unwind and call it a day than that lp. So we play it instead of the usual Grateful Dead (my companions are hippies) as last call before I stagger into my tent and put on Entreat and drift blissfully into sleep knowing that the next day will be hotter than hell, involve much drinking and many left handed cigarettes and 80 odd miles of bicycling.
Seeing as Bono et al are such holy rollers, you'd think the Prez and them would be holding hands at a screening of Leathal Saviour: The Passion of The Gloch. 
I like the idea, though: there's gonna be some mighty pissed rednecks in Appalachia who will start smashing up their "Joshua Tree" and "War" memorabilia ala the Dixie Chicks when they said they were ashamed to be from the same state as Dubya
